I’m a foodie who loves to cook, mostly because I love to eat. Here are some of the easiest foods to eat when you are pregnant and nauseous.
Normally I’m here for the “flavor journey” but during pregnancy I typically want non-complicated, low stress, no prep foods to eat. Nausea, extreme fatigue, heartburn and indigestion are just some of the reasons I crave simple foods.
My biggest struggle is that I usually don’t “feel” like eating anything (especially if I know I am just going to throw it back up). So, it has to be low prep and simple flavors.
The nausea and vomiting when I was pregnant with my twins was THE WORST, and then it turned into heartburn and indigestion too. If you’re expecting twins (or think you might be) and want to know about my experience and symptoms check out these blog posts: 1st Trimester, 2nd Trimester, and 3rd Trimester.
Usually, I just watch the time and try to make myself eat a little something every couple of hours. Sometimes all I can stomach is a few bites, and other times I am able to eat a whole serving. I practice giving myself grace, trust that my body will provide for growing babies and do the best I can.
